Dear
Sirs!
Long time ago I stayed in London Ruislip; I think
it was summer 1964, by the family Cooke. Mr.
Cooke was a friend from my fathers school friend
Mr. Powell Willy, he was a teacher in the City of
London school. So I visited Martin Cooke. One
year before he staid for some weeks in my home in
Bad Ischl, Upper Austria, 50 km east from City of
Salzburg.
I remember, we went with Martins school class for
two weeks to Romney marsh, maybe Dymchurch. We
lived there in an old military camp and we had a
very nice time there. This was my first visit in
England and I think very often to this time.
Now I have founded the sign from St.Nicholas
Grammar Scholl from my old Blazer, I got one in
the year 1964! Therefore I was looking for a
homepage from this school, but I could not find
any. I found the homepage from SNOBS and I will
send you some pictures from the Holydays 1964.
From Martin Cooke I never heard anything after
school, instead of Mr. Powell told me that he
died young.
Maybe you are able to refresh my remembers from
my time at your school, although it was only two
weeks. But I was member of St. Nicholas Grammar
School as well as I was there only for two weeks
and I very often think and talk about that
instructional time.
Hoping to receive a favourable answer.
Greetings from Austria, yours sincerely
Kurt Eckel
